A multi-D.O. grower and producer of authentic, superb-value wines, elaborated from some of each area’s best vineyard sites.

In Rueda a modern winemaking facility was built in 1989 over 14th-century subterranean cellars, 125 acres of established estate vineyard along the Adaja River near the village of Olmedo forming the quality base. An excellent, fresh and modern dry Rueda is obtained from the local Verdejo and Viura varieties.

The Ribera del Duero facility in San Esteban de Gormaz began as a cooperative and was among the DO’s sixteen founding members in 1982. Privatized in 2004, contracts are maintained with over 300 growers, collectively controlling over 1300 acres of vines in Ribera del Duero’s Soria province—the highest and least exploited of the region’s subdistricts. Remaining just outside the focus of commercial development, the Tempranillo vineyards here predate the post modern era, averaging 50 years of age and older, head pruned and often ungrafted.

Viña Gormaz Verdejo (2014) - "Light, bright yellow. Fresh peach and pear aromas are complemented by candied ginger, succulent herbs and honey. Mineral-laced citrus and orchard fruit flavors show good focus, with a spicy element providing back-end cut. Finishes nervy and linear, with an echo of citrus pith and lingering stoniness."

Viña Gormaz Verdejo (2012) - "This almost clear colored Verdejo opens with a pilsner beer and pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering and crisp. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green apple with notes of white pepper and a hint of lime. The finish is dry and refreshing. This good value white wine would pair well with linguine with clams in a wine and garlic broth. Enjoy."
