Emperador de Barros Tempranillo (2009) - "The 2009 Emperador de Barros Tempranillo is a glass-coating opaque purple color. Earthy minerals, spice box, violets, and blackberry aromas inform the nose of a savory, plump, succulent, nicely priced effort that will provide pleasure over the next 3 years."

Emperador de Barros Tempranillo (2008) - "The 2008 Emperador de Barros Tempranillo displays a pleasant nose of brier, spice box, and black cherry. On the palate it has good grip, savory flavors, and moderate length. It will drink nicely over the next 2-3 years. It is a good value. "

Emperador de Barros Macabeo (2008) - "Pale yellow. Pungent peach, pear and lemon zest aromas are complemented by a note of white pepper. Pliant, dry citrus and pear skin flavors are refreshingly bitter and focused, with juicy acidity providing lift. Finishes with good clarity and spicy cut. This will make a great summer wine."

Emperador de Barros Macabeo (2007) - "Macabeo is typically a white blending grape usually used in Cava. However, we found this white gold colored still wine with tiny bubbles to be very nice option to consider for those hot summer days ahead. This wine opens with a pineapple and wet stone like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is balanced, slightly creamy, and has nicely integrated acidity. It displays a complex flavor profile of pear, slightly tart green apple, and minerality. The finish is quite dry, refreshing, and lingers for quite some time. This food friendly wine would appeal to fans of wines from Sancerre. This wine would pair nicely with linguine with a white clam sauce or ham with pineapple. Enjoy – Ken"

Emperador de Barros Macabeo (2007) - "Pale straw. Gently spicy lemon and apple aromas are deepened by smoky mineral and herbs. The palate offers soft apple and peach, with a kiss of lemon zest adding bite and focus. An easy-drinking style, with a touch of warmth on the finish and good clinging persistence."
