Viña Reboreda Treixadura-Torrontés (2014) - "This pale straw colored white blend from Spain is consistently very good and a great deal. It opens with a lime, tangerine and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely acidic, juicy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tart green apple with notes of integrated mineralogy. I also detected hints of grapefruit, tangerine and touch of ginger. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for quite some time. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with broiled scallops."

Viña Reboreda Treixadura-Torrontés (2014) - "Pale, green-tinged straw. Delicate and precise on the nervy, mineral-accented nose, displaying scents of fresh citrus fruits, jasmine and green tea. This nicely concentrated, focused blend finishes with good cut and subtle spiciness."

Viña Reboreda Treixadura-Torrontés (2013) - "Light, bright yellow-gold. Pungent citrus pith, pear skin and melon aromas, with smoky mineral and floral nuances. Spicy and fresh, with zesty acidity adding lift to the pliant pear and honeydew flavors. Finishes with clean citrus zest character, good length and a touch of succulent herbs."

Overview: The Viña Reboreda vineyard estate comprises 40 hectares on the Miño River west of the provincial capital and ancient Roman mining center of Orense. Soils vary from alluvial and stony near the river to outcroppings of slate, granite and chalk on the higher west-facing slopes. Varieties planted include a majority Treixadura, plus Torrontés, Loureiro, Godello and Mencía. Treixadura provides savory consistency while Torrontés adds floral and spice notes. Refreshing and fragrant in style, Viña Reboreda remains relatively soft in acidity compared with other Galician wines, allowing for a more completely dry finish. It offers an uncomparable value in top-quality Spanish white wine.
