TASTING NOTES
One hundred percent unoaked Mencía from a young 10-acre estate vineyard on steep west-facing granite slopes. Reminiscent of Loire Valley reds, refreshing acidity and intense berry fruit giving way to a clean, appetizingly mineral finish

PRESS
Viña Reboreda Mencía (2017) - "This fresh red is light but energetic, relying more on acidity than tannins for structure, delivering berry, tart cherry, lively herb and mineral notes in a bright, crisp texture. Drink now through 2022."

FINCA REBOREDA WINERY INFO
Overview: The Viña Reboreda vineyard estate comprises 40 hectares on the Miño River west of the provincial capital and ancient Roman mining center of Orense. Soils vary from alluvial and stony near the river to outcroppings of slate, granite and chalk on the higher west-facing slopes. Varieties planted include a majority Treixadura, plus Torrontés, Loureiro, Godello and Mencía.
Treixadura provides savory consistency while Torrontés adds floral and spice notes.
Refreshing and fragrant in style, Viña Reboreda remains relatively soft in acidity compared with other Galician wines, allowing for a more completely dry finish. It offers an uncomparable value in top-quality Spanish white wine.
